Today my friend Sarah Ann brought her police car to my school to show the bells and whistles. The highlight for my students was Ms Easthope being handcofted and placed into the back of a police car. I thought you would enjoy as well because hopefully you will never see this again.

Hello everyone I hope you enjoy the pictures from Charlies birthday party. I took them with my new camera. Irwin bugs me how much I use it, but he is just the same with his video camera! Our family is pretty lucky to have the best sisters-in-laws. Us Easthopes can be pretty stubburn and have a few opinions (we get it from our dad). But luckily we have our brothers have married people that understand us and are sweet enough to take us as we are. What a joy it is to watch our brothers, get married and start families of their own.

Tara, is one of the best mothers we know. We are lucky that she allowed us to share her life with us and gave us 4 wonderful nephews. When trials come Tara's way (such as breaking an ankle) she overcomes them with grace and faith. Our prayers and thoughts are with her!

Hello All,

You may ask what I have I been up to this summer? Well to tell you the truth I have been very efficient at waisting time. If you ever have this problem call me I will give you some tips. I guess this is what happens when you live alone and have no kids or husbands getting after you! Hey everyone,

Looks like we missed a good party. Did you two get what you wanted? So, just wondering, if Mom and Dad are coming to Lethbridge for Easter is anyone else coming too? You're totally welcome if you want to.

We don't have too much to say but we do have one good Cooper quote. We were out shopping and Brady was comparing height with Cooper. Obviously this is rediculous because Brady is 2 1/2 years younger than Cooper, so I suggested they wait until they're twenty and then compare. Cooper then said, "We won't even know each other by then!". Apparently we'll all be drifting apart later on so I guess we'll really have to live it up now. So much for families are forever.

I still have not figured out how add the Blog address to my favorite Webb list, so it will post it in the address field. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? To get on I have been using a email Melissa sent me, but when I posted it to my favorite list it will not put it in the address field. In my favorite list the address starts with a double flag looking symbol rather then an "e" symbol like my other favorite addresses.

Is there ever a time when I just understand how to do a computer thing??????

Hey everyone,

Well, we don't have any fun pictures at the moment (or it's more like I'm too lazy to get one) but I thought I drop a few lines to "represent". Irwin's been fighting a cough for about two weeks, Cooper had a stomach ache last week, Brady is sick right now and slept all through church yesterday (a bit of a treat), and now Charlie's starting to get it. So it's been a good one and I'm washing everyone's sheets today.

Let's see, our ward started a rook tournament and we played our first game on Thursday, which we surprisingly won. Are you proud Melvin and Kay? We won't mention that the other team was about as experienced as us and we just happened to be ahead when we ran out of time. Personally, I think I pretty much carried us but don't tell Irwin. (A bit of a deer in the headlights that night)

The other day the laptop wasn't working and so after a little bit of tinkering I fixed it so the kids could play video games and Cooper informed me, "That was pretty smart...for a women". What a turkey!

Anyway, it's Irwin's 30th birthday tomorrow so give him a shout if you think about it, otherwise everything's good here.

Dad's Update

Man it is March the 1st already and it came in like a lamb around here. I got called in to teach Phys Ed this morning. Each class was scheduled to go cross country skiing. I have not ever tried that, so I had the kids stay in and play a tag game on the gymnastic equipment. I don’t know why I don’t try and cross country ski, as I am retired with all this time on my hands and the snow is multi inches deep everywhere. We also have the perfect place for it here right in our back yard. Sometimes you just don’t ever get around to doing something’s I guess. I was proud of myself I taught all three Grade Six classes and no one had to spend time in the hall. That is a tough bunch of kids to get them to try to do something’s. I did find out that many of the kids can sure run and jump. It is always good to see students do something outside of the classroom. I have the stage props all put together. I finished yesterday. I still have to do some touch up painting in several places. So Monday may be the end to that project. Five weeks is a long time to work at one project. Some of the actors say the walls are finished better then most of their houses. The set is two rooms of an upper English house that has 12 wallpaper panels on the three walls. It will be good to get back to my shop. As I haven’t worked out there much for the past five weeks the garage floor never gets dry from the snow melting off the van, as I don’t turn up the heat during the day. I guess I have saved a bundle of money on natural gas as I have not used much during the day. Tuesday I will start a cupboard for extended Care Hospital. We have had snow each day this week. My driveway is now so high along the edges that I can no longer see the neighbor’s yard as I back out. If we get more dumps in March, it could be a long melt in the spring. Well Melvin and Kay are back from Florida. They had a great time standing in line at the Airports trying to get home. Nothing like a four wait in a line at an airport. Maybe the slow pace of Alberta is not the bad after all. Oh well if you never fly anywhere then you don’t get to have that experience. Mary is in her new basement apartment. To bad that people still have to live in basements when many of us live in houses that are to big, like mine. Melissa as you know has started an Easthope Family Blog. I have not tried it yet, I guess I will have to get with it and learn the new technology. I thought Blogs were things other people did, but I guess I am part of it now. I don’t know any thing new about Aunt Karen I haven’t heard if Spencer found a job yet or not. Deanna had three lemons in the freg since Christmas, so tonight I peeled them and blended them into some lemon aid. My mother could sure make good lemon aid on a hot day. Well what can a person say about the Oilers, other then we are extremely disappointed. In fact I turned off the game Tuesday and I may not watch tonight. I don’t like Low’s trades. I am still waiting for someone to tell me how you can trade your best player and not get a top player back. Two guys that have never played in the NHL are just not good enough. Boy I expect attendance to drop starting tonight. I guess the money lost will probably equal the amount of money he wanted. My only problem is I don’t like to watch regular season baseball that has already started. There have been two real serous accidents of young people in the Oil Patch in the last two weeks here. One young man I taught a Krucik, a year younger then Melvin, a well blew up in his face and the other young man a chain broke and hit him in the head sitting in his truck. I am in the proof reading stage of my TempleReady Booklet. I hope to wind it up tomorrow. The parts are in for the lock for my van. So I hope to go to Vermillion and get them put on tomorrow. We will probably go on to Lloydminster for a fish feed at Joe’s only. Did you hear the new of the new roller coaster going in West Edmonton Mall. It is going to cover the whole park and work something like the big one. Well have a good week. I just can’t wait daylight saving time start three week early this year.

Dad's Weekly Update

Well back to -20 this morning with a good wind chill. I taught grade four French today and had to supervise the playground twice. It was all I could do to stand out there. The kids were running around so they don’t seem to have much trouble with the temperature and the wind. I have had my noise to the grind stone down at the Elk Hall building the props for the dinner theater. I hung the two double doors on Tuesday and then turned my attention to the base board, filling the nail holes and doing touch up painting. I thought I would have two pieces of wall paper on the twelve wallpaper panels by the end of today, but I spent the day at the school. So I still have all twelve panels to hang wallpaper on and put a wood trim frame around them. I still have three weeks before the first night of performance. It has taken me four weeks to date and I will probably be there another week. I have shop jobs backing up; I have a cupboard to build for extended care, poster paint drying rack for the Elementary School, two drill press jigs for Irwin and myself, a drum I was going to do several months ago. Well I guess the Oilers are moving onto next year. This has not been a good week point wise and they are eight points out of the play-offs. They will probably be selling off a few players before next Tuesday’s deadline. Melvin should be flying back from his honeymoon in the next couple of days. It may be a shock to come back to this cold weather. “We are off to the play the Producers tomorrow night at the Jubilee. I don’t know yet if we are going on the Choir Bus or taking our own van. The bus just takes to long as it goes by St Paul. The weather is supposed to be getting a little nasty over the next few days. The wedding went well and we even had Chicken and Noodles at Irwin’s as a family on Sunday. Aunt Karen is still struggling with her condition. I think most of us don’t really understand what the treatment for that is all about. We spent a few minutes with her on Saturday. I have made some progress with my writing of the TempleReady Program How to use TempleReady. I am up to level 3 now and have to move on to level six. So I have a ways to go yet.
